Summer Activity Weeks

Next week sees the first of two summer fun weeks with Sensei Paul and Sensei David which take place at Bure Park School in Bicester. This year Sensei Paul and Sensei David are going bigger and better and their aim is to provide the most fun, memorable weeks for all that were lucky enough to get a place. In conjunction with their regular activities that include swimming, face painting, football, team games, bowling, bouncy castles, bouncy obstacle and of course not forgetting the crazy water fights, they have also added to the programme this year activities that include slacklining, giant inflatable twister and a mornings visit from reptile rescue specialist, Crocodile Joe!!!! Joe, AKA Crocodile Joe was given this name by Aborigines whilst he was working with crocodiles in Australia. Joe now runs a reptile educational road show and spends much of his time touring pet shows, schools, colleges and Haven holiday parks. He has also featured on many TV shows that include Blue Peter, BBC1’s Animals 24/7 and Animal planet!

OSTMA are hugely excited to have Joe visit us. His show is hugely educational and the children get to see (and hold should they wish) some incredible reptiles that include bearded dragons, Skinks, Lizards, Geckos, Scorpions, Tarantulas, Tortoises and some of the biggest snakes you’ve ever seen!! These weeks courses are going to be a blast!!

Unfortunately all places for both weeks were filled within a matter of just a couple of days but do contact other senseis as others are running a variety of courses this summer. Sensei Tom and Sensei Sam are also running activity weeks in the Carterton area, Sensei Lee and Sensei Joby are running accelerated karate courses in Brackley and Banbury areas, Sensei Phil is running additional karate sessions in Barton and Sensei David is running a "parent and child" family martial arts course on Sunday 16th August in 2 different venues, Bicester and Kirtlington so if any of you fancy looking for some extra stuff to do over the summer, contact the relevant sensei from the contacts page.
